The Vashon Municipal Airport selects Century West for a 5 year Engineering Services Contract
Vashon Airport, Obstruction Removal Surveying, Environmental and Design Project.
Century West was selected by Vashon Airport to provide consulting services (5 year term) for obstruction removal (trees) in the Runway 17-35 approach. The team is currently working with the airport and FAA to define and scope the extent of surveying necessary to adequately accomplish the airport’s obstruction removal objectives. In addition, Century West will be preparing the environmental studies necessary to complete the work. Once the survey and environmental tasks are complete, the team will conduct design work and prepare bidding documents for the obstruction removal work. The survey/environmental work is expected to begin in the Spring of 2009 and construction and project completion is anticipated in the Fall/Winter of 2009/2010.
