City of Airway Heights preparing to break ground on new Water Reclamation Plant
Century West is prime consultant on a "one of it's kind" Water Reclamation Plant in Eastern Washington.
Century West has completed the design for a new $44 million Water Reclamation Plant for the City of Airway Heights. The project will be constructed in two phases over the next two years. This plant is truly one of a kind for this region. Wastewater will be treated to reclaimed water standards and will be put to reuse though a new reuse water distribution system and will be used to recharge an aquifer that is currently stressed by over-pumping. This project is extremely important to not only the City of Airway Heights, but to the entire Spokane West Plains. Limited drinking water resources in the area have resulted in unhealthy competition from local water purveyors. This project provides an important source of water to the area. The project is also a critical step in clean-up of the Spokane River.
