The Town of Ione, Washington Selected Century West for 5 Year Aviation Services Contract
The Town of Ione, Washington selected Century West Engineering to provide Airport Engineering Services for the Ione Municipal Airport. The Town received 8 proposals for the work and selected Century West Engineering based on the previous project experience Century West has provided the Town on their Airport Layout Plan and recent Pavement Striping Project.
Century West intends to help the Town improve the airport by getting Federal Aviation Administration non-primary entitlements programmed for the Airport. The airport is a NPIAS airport but does not currently receive non-primary entitlement grant funds each year. Once programmed, the Town will receive $150,000 per year in grant funds from FAA based on current funding levels with a local match of
5% and the ability to receive WSDOT Aviation funding to cover half of the 5% local match. We would like to thank the Town of Ione for selecting Century West for the contract and look forward to
continuing our working relationship with the Town to further improve facilities at the airport.
