Century West presents at the City of Bend Curb Ramp Educational Forum
On January 13, 2010 the City of Bend hosted the Curb Ramp Educational Forum to share information about curb ramps with the public. City staff selected Century West as the Forum’s engineering consultant to provide technical presentations and exhibits regarding ADA regulations. Engineers Matt Rogers and Erik Huffman presented information on both the design of curb ramps and the curb ramp construction process. Exhibits prepared by Century West are on display in the Bend Library through the month of January.
The City of Bend is currently under a Department of Justice settlement regarding accessibility and is aggressively working to replace non-compliant curb ramps.
