Century West’s Runway 5-23 Rehabilitation Project featured in Cascade Business News.

_16D3008bAuthored by Project Manager Tom Headley, the article “A Simple Repaving Project Turns into the Region’s Largest Aviation Project” highlights the complexity of bringing a regional airport into compliance with current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) design standards.

Initially, the project was expected to be a simple pavement rehabilitation but an early engineering analysis completed by Century West determined that updates needed to be made to meet FAA standards. The airport was closed for 21 days and Century West worked diligently alongside the Redmond Airport and the rest of the project team, to ensure the airport closing had minimal impact on the airport businesses and the community.
