Century West was selected to provide design, bidding and construction services for $6 million in improvements at Redmond Municipal Airport. The main objective of the project was to provide better circulation of traffic thus eliminating incursion risk at the Runway 4-22 intersection. The project included complete reconstruction of the northern General Aviation ramp and a 3,500’x50’ extension of Taxiway C. Reconstruction work on the 50 year-old GA Ramp pavement included an investigation for hazardous materials and required coordination with FAA to relocate FAA owned NAVAID circuits. The work area encompassed approximately 70,000 SY and involved complete replacement of the pavement section, new tiedowns and pavement markings. The Taxiway C portion of the work included paving, taxiway edge lighting, new guidance signs, pavement underdrains, and pavement markings.
